Don Douglass has
been with KPPC since 1997 and currently
serves as the center’s Assistant
Director. He is responsible for daily
operations of the center, and provides
direction and assistance to staff. Don
also identifies funding opportunities
and coordinates the development of grant
and budget funding proposals and
requests.
During his tenure
at KPPC, Don has been involved with a
variety of different projects, including
environmentally preferable purchasing,
deconstruction, energy and pollution
prevention assessments, environmental
management system audits and numerous
outreach programs.
Prior to KPPC, Don
worked in the environmental consulting
field for six years, and began his
career as a coal geologist. Don received
his Master of Science degree in Geology
from Southern Illinois University, his
Bachelor of Science Degree from Auburn
University and his Master of Business
Administration degree from the
University of Louisville. He is a
registered professional geologist in
Georgia and Kentucky.
